Pneumatic Supplies
These are my main pneumatic supplies:

Lego Dacta Advanced Pneumatics Set (#9633) includes 2 large cylinders, a small cylinder, 2 small pumps, 3 pneumatic valves, an air tank and parts for a motorised air compressor and a motorised pneumatic switch.

Lego Dacta Technology Resource Set (#9609) contains a wealth of parts including 2 large pneumatic cylinders, 2 large hand pumps, 2 pneumatic valves, T-tubes and flexible pneumatic tubing. 
Note: as the name 'resource' implies, it is just a set of spares and extra components to supplement other sets. So it doesn't have any building instructions or
activity packs to go with it. Here is my 9609 Set Inventory

These are Lego Dacta sets and not the regular Technic sets, aimed at the educational market. They are normally only sold to schools and other educational establishments. They will not be found at the usual
retail outlets.

In the U.S., the Dacta sets can be obtained from Pitsco. Elsewhere, you will have to approach your local Lego distributor and convince them you're buying for your own educational use. It's not difficult, they are usually nice people and tolerant of legomaniacs.

In my own case, I was able to impress my local distributor that I was aiming for a doctorate in Legorobotology (?MIT), specialising in pneumatics. Since then, I have been buying Dacta parts through them regularly or rather, as and when funds permit.
